Does this sound like an early pregnancy symptom?

I know this is a lot of info, but please bare with me because I'm super confused!! I am not really trying to concieve, but I would be okay if it were to happen. My boyfriend and I had unprotected several times on day 23 of my 35 day cycle. My cycle tends to vary a bit, but 35 days has been fairly consistent these last few months. I would have thought ovulation would have already occured, so I didn't think anything of it until 5 days later I had these weird twinges in my lower right abdomen. For two and a half days I had a constant dull ache in the area that seems to be where my right ovary is. At one point it felt like a pulling feeling, almost like a strained muscle. It was so strange because I've never had a twinge like that before, and it was honestly all together an experience I've never had. My period isn't due for a few more days, and the ache has ended for the moment. I don't believe this was simply ovulation pains because it was so late in the cycle and also I've felt that before and this was something I've never experienced. Any opinions??

Hi - I'm an avid reader and have recently been stuck in a rut, reading the same books that I have, over and over. I'm actually rather sick of my material now. Does anyone know any really good books that I could check out? I'm into clics, books that have some type of historical reference to them, but could still be considered fiction, autobiographies; basically, books that have substance to them. Really, any suggestions would be helpful though - please, none from Oprah's book club! Is it ok to show anger,rage ,contempt, resentment, bitterness towards people because you had such a hard life?

It is totally okay to feel anger, bitterness, resentment, etc... You must remember something though. Problems like that never just disappear, you learn to deal with it better. It is hard not to show such negativity to people who have hurt you in the past but the only way to help yourself is TO FORGIVE THEM. Do not deny your feelings because ignoring them will not allow anything to get better. And the socializing thing with people who judge you and such. Do you think it might be just in your head? And if not... just know there are always people who are like that but there are also good people who are open and willing to help. One piece of advice though, when you first meet someone, don't overwhelm them with all the horrible experiences in your life. It is not good to present yourself with such negativity with first impression with anyone. I do acknowledge you for wanting to better yourself and taking that step of realizing your problems. And one more thing that is worth thinking about... you teach people how to treat you. Don't expect people to respect or love you if you don't respect or love yourself. Good luck with everything and I am so sure you are on the road to a better life and better you. =) Keep seeking help when you need it! Is intimidation and confrontation a BIG problem in today's teenage society?

I really enjoy engaging conversations, especially those in which an argument is provoked or an emotional factor is revealed. It find them very exotic yet mind-provoking - yes, I sound especially initiated. I just find that a great amount of people I know (teenage) are intimidated (maybe even threatened!) by my initiative to start a conversation out of the unusual and of my way of expression. I am very literal and eloquent with my words, sometimes mistakenly sarcastic (which is my humour) - but I don't understand why today's teenage portion are so afraid to confront emotional/serious matters in a provoked conversation. About 5 weeks ago, two very tiny fawns showed up on our property - we live out in a rural area. We're sure something happened to their mother since she's never been seen. They come every day, sometimes twice a day depending on how hot it is, and sometimes they come during the night. They usually leave just at sunset and head for a heavily wooded area just west of our place. They eat whatever they can find in the corral area and on our lawn. We don't mind since they're so small, and we've even put out carrots and a little sweet horse feed from time-to-time and we have a large water trough. There are deer herds in the area and we hope they will grow big enough to join them. But they don't seem to be growing very fast. I actually don't know much about deer. Do they like hay - the kind you feed horses? Would baled alfalfa be too rich for them? What else can we feed them to help fatten them up for the winter so they can make it to adulthood? Hope someone out there is a deer expert.

Why is swatting a dog on the nose or rear end for misbehaving considered abuse, but stuffing your dog in a crate for hours at a time considered a great thing? At least the swat only lasts a second and it does teach the dog not to chew things, get into the garbage or go potty in the house. Should I name my son after my father-in-law or just use his middle name?

I have four more months before my baby is due. I agreed with my husband to name our son after his father. I told my husband that I am not doing it for his father; I am doing it for my husband. My husband new at the beginning that I was against naming our son after his father. My husband told his father that if he has son that he will name his son after his father. His father really wants his grandson to be named after him. This is before I ever met my husband that he made a promise to name our son after his father. My husband wouldn’t even comprise on using his dad’s middle name. My husband said that it has to be the whole name or nothing and that’s what his father wants too. I really don’t want Michael William Harmon the name I fell in love with is Blake William Harmon. I was given a signed employment contract for a fixed 3 years of employment by my employer and I subsequently resigned from my previous job. After resigning my previous job... my new employer induced me into signing a different contract which included a probation period of 6 months. She has now fired me within the 6 month probation period. I had not signed the first contract when I first received it, but I trusted in it (acted upon it) and resigned my previous job because of it. Living in a condo is a nightmare. Last year, the condo ociation required all of us to stain our deck. I had a friend did for me but he used the wrong color. I had to redo it again but didn't have time. The condo c. did it themselves without my authorization when I wasn't home. They charged me 5 times more than it worths. They only replaced a piece of wood in front of the balcony, they didn't restain it. They also sued me and demanded the attorney fee. Now, not just that I have to pay $142.00 (which I already paid)for a 10x3 piece of wood but $600 attorney fee. I hate to live in a condo more and more. The same amount that I paid for this place, I can get a single home accross the state. I live in North of MD and PA is much cheaper with 20 minutes drive. That was the worst mistake I ever made by buying this condo. I hate those commies who tressped and harred me constantly. And if you have been experiencing the pain travelling to your feet and legs, chances are your PCP is right and your nerves are compressed. Being that the L5-S1 is herniated and has DDD, it could be the S1 transverse nerve, or the nerve roots at that level. The EMG test isn't 100% at detecting the exact reason for pain, I know my EMG didn't. I would meet with a neurosurgeon or a pain management doctor who can do a discogram, where they inject dye to find leaking discs (meaning the disc matter is leaking to your spine). I won't lie, it hurts something fierce, but if it does hurt, it means the disc is causing the pain. This will give you an idea of whether you may need a fusion and to get that disc out of there, or if a simple discectomy (removing the herniation) will do.

One day I was a little late to get in and on ac count of the long queue outside faced constant knocking . AS luck would hve it my bowels had almost stuck work that day and refused al formed of cajoling. AT last the pounding became unearable and I decided to come out unrelieved. I did and the man at the top of the queue started to get in and at that very moment my bowel decided to answer my prayers. It sta rted to come out with such a force that I just pushed the aspirant and went inside and relieved myself. soiling my 'dhottee'in the process. I had to beseech the outsuders to run to my room and ask my sone to get a spare underpant quckly and they obliged(Bombaites normally do).When I almost snatched the underpant through the half open door and then meekly came out the soiled pant bndled,h a sheepish face not daring to look at anybody and almost ran to me quarters I could hear the peels and peels of laughter behind me.I may forget the state honour I received in service but not this ignomijy.

Ive got a renault megane scenic 1.9dci 53 plate with masive engine failier due to cam belt move ment. ?

The list is endless, from needing a new head, cam shaft , cam belt , water pump, turbo, ect ect to the total of � 2,462. My question is the garage said that the top cam belt nut on the pulley was only hand tight, could this mean that the vibration in the pulley made that cam belt move off the pulley and start to rub on the casing put added pressure on the bottom pulley which eventually snaped the bottom pulley the cam belt it self was not broke except fraying on one side, could this have been a long going problem before the final demise of my engine . I know it sounds weird, but coating your hair in mayo and wrapping it in plastic wrap always killed them when i was a kid. You shouldn't have to cut it off because the lice stay on the scalp, not in the hair. Be sure you clean your house, and see if anyone you have close contact to has the head lice cause you may be re-catching it from them. But its not just the lice you should worry about, its the eggs they lay close to the root of your hair. Even if you kill the lice, they can come back if the eggs aren't gone. If nothing helps then go see your doctor.

Cut the potatoes into quarters and put them in a zip lock bag with some olive oil !/4 to 1/2 C., 2 tsp. of chopped garlic and an envelope of dried onion soup mix if you happen to have some (otherwise, you can add a chopped onion and some spices (paprika, salt and pepper). Bake at 375 degrees for about 30 minutes or until the potatoes are tender. (You don't have to peel the potatoes). Saute some diced red pepper, mushrooms and onions in a pan until they are tender and add carrots, peas and corn to that if you wish. It will be a vegetarian delight. Serve it with some toasted bread or if you want, you can make a grilled cheese sandwich. If it were me, I would go with the potatoes and the sauted vegetables and that would make me happy.

I joined the Army 14 months ago and was placed in the DEP program. Shortly afterward my father lost his job. I wanted to stay home and help my family. I requested to be separated from the DEP program. No one got back to me and I missed my ship out date. They didn't return my calls or give me back my SS card, Birth Cert, or High School Diploma. WTF. Now that the family situation has stabilized (father stopped working and started drinking heavily, but hes got a job now) can I join a military branch such as the Air Force?

My sisters-in-law encourage my x-husband's attendance at functions and insult me within hearing of my children?

In past, they've invited my x-husband and the children that were with him at the time, and NOT me and the child with me, to a local function. My x drove from two hours away to a gathering with all of my siblings and parents, while I was purposefully excluded. They've subtly shared their attitudes with my children to the point that they've created division among us. I am trying hard not to hate them. But, I don't know how to protect myself. I would have had to go to court to prevent 14 year old from moving to her more permissive Dad's house and I decided that I didn't want him to lose his job in the sensitive field we both work in....and he would have if any local judge had heard what I would have had to say...and this would have meant that everyone where they and we live would have known things that would have been hard for my children to have known about their dad....illegal types of , past violence toward me, unethical professional behavior, etc. My mother treats her sons and their wives very well and many people adore her. But, her daughters are way down on the totem pole of consideration and it's okay with her for others to hurt me. I should just shut up and put up. They've been working on separating me from my children so that they can have them in their lives without dealing with me. I don't like it when they encourage my daughter at age 9 to wear make up or when they tell my 14 year old that she should be 'dating' a lot. They've walked over and interfered when I've been in the middle of redirecting a child at a public function when the child was disrupting the affair. They've sent me ugly texts telling me what a bad mom I am. Now my daughter is going to live with her Dad who doesn't supervise or correct except when she inconveniences him. All of our children are adopted and they all came with behavioral challenges. One daughter gossips constantly and listens at doors and she tells neighbor children confidential things about her siblings and others. This will not get better while living with him. I did tell her that if she chose to go to her Dad's that she would not run back and forth anytime she didn't like her Dad's rules (she would elect to go to her Dad's anytime she got in trouble with us and she could get away with leaving for visitation) I work in a rough metro school, and many of the students are my favorite people. If my daughter did her school work, she would be ok there. She gravitates toward the bottom of the pond and always has, so a bigger pond with more of the same rough element than the smaller school she attended, is not going to help her. She already 'baits' children in the neighborhood by asking them if they know me, listening to what they say, and then announcing that I am her mom. Some of them became angry, as they were worried that I would 'find out' that they were mad about a consequence, etc. What to do? my family sabotages me. My child sabotages us both. My x is having a great time with it all.

Usually it's those so called "nice guys" that try to tell you that every guy is an ******, player, etc. If you trust your boyfriend, don't listen to him or anyone else. He'd never be able to tell just by looking how your boyfriend was. No one can tell that. Don't read anything into what he's saying other than he's probably insecure and jealous.

DOUBLE Jeopardy Laws Question?

I need a clear understand about Double Jeopardy laws in the state of Texas. I was recently sued by the TX attorney general in the matter of a minor child. I hired an attorney and if I win my case, can she try me again pursuing the same matter? Or, is it once its done, then its a done deal? Dog barking tones?

My neighbors dog will constantly bark around 5-7 in the evening. But when he barks, it sounds like he's in pain. It's not a whimper, but it sounds almost like he's sick. I've heard him bark like this for at least 3 months now, but since we live in the suburbs I've never met these neighbors, we're separated by woods. I feel really bad for the dog. I've known this girl for like 2 years now and when i first met her, her and her bf had just broke up because he cheated on her. Will walmart prosecute me for theft in my case?

I went to Walmart and took the same items off the shelves that I had previously purchased and used my receipt to get a cash refund of a few cents under $30. As I was leaving the store, I had been stopped by loss prevention and the police were called although the police officer himself did NOT charge me with anything. He just filled out a report and told me that I was free to go and was not charged with anything that night and that he was going to give loss prevention a referral to file the prosecution on her own so that he is not stuck being the middle man. Police told me that she could turn in the referral to the prosecuters office where the prosecutor would see if there was enough evidence to prosecute me...even though I was seen on camera. And the police officer told me that within to 7 to 10 days I could call the sheriff's department and find out if I have a warrant. Any time someone is being prosecuted, I thought the stores was NOT supposed to accept any payment back until the judge in court orders restitution. Well I offered to pay the $29 back and loss prevention accepted the payment and the police officer handed it to her. I have known for people that had been caught shoplifting to be issued a summons to court right then and there before they are told to go home. I have never heard of the police...whose job it is to be the "middle man" to say they aren't going to be the middle man and that the store themselves were going to pretty much do the police officers job. The loss prevention lady was also very quiet and just sat there. Even when asked questions by the police officer, she was very short with one or two word answers. She didn't even hardly type anything into her computer. Like my information and so on. No picture was taken of me. And when the officer told me that he was giving loss prevention a referral to prosecute on their own he let me go home without even telling me what my referring charge was for example...theft, theft by deception, or fraud. He also told me to give him a good reason why he shouldn't take me to jail like several times even though he was NOT going to be the "MIDDLE MAN" I started crying and said there was no good reason because it was wrong and that I just wish I had a job so that I could do something productive with my life instead of being bored and having too much time on my hands to get in trouble because I am on SSI/Disability. And that it feels good to have nice things and to have money for things and I wanted a job so I could go about getting that the right way. Then the very quiet and short LP lady looked at me and said she understands what im saying and what im going through because its just like an addiction and she used to be an alcoholic and thats why she understands how hard it is to stop doing things that you feel like you can't stop doing and she was happy for me that I said I was going to a theft counsling and she said that it says a lot for someone to help themselves like that and to go get help. So I think she felt sorry for me or something. I also heard that walmarts policy is to not prosecute unless the value is more than $25 and in my case, it was only $4.66 over the not prosecution value. Do you think its possible that they decided to not prosecute and just didn't want to tell me that or do you think loss prevention is actually going to turn this in? The store told me they have a second chance policy where the first time you are stopped, you can still come back to the store but the second time you are stopped, you sign no tresping paper. So if it was that big of a deal, why would they want you to come back in the first place. Im confused and would like to know if anyone else has been told these things and if anyone knows or thinks Walmart will actually persue charges even after accepting the full amount in cash back on the spot.

My boyfriend and I have been dating for 3 1/2 years and I live with him and his family until we start college in the fall. This past weekend we went down to Delaware where their family has a two trailers. It was my boyfriend's sisters's birthday so she had her two best friends one happens to be my sister. They slept in one trailer and my boyfriends brother and parent and us slept in the other. We went to a mini beach out in the bay. And they were like Awww and ur too cute whenever we were near eachother basically. This morning we woke up to them taking pictures of us sleeping in bed. They just kept taking pictures o us whether we were snuggling, holding hands, hugging. It was kinda creepy I would ask them to stop and they just giggle. They are 14 & 15 years old. Why do you think they would do this? because I really just don't understand.

New symptoms?

I know I am getting to be annoying but I want someone else's opinion while I wait for my drs appointment. I am still bloated and it is getting so much worse (constant). I also have noticed that my stomach has begun to harden up a little bit, as well, which is a little strange. I love spicy food and never suffer after eating it but now I get the worst heartburn. I am sooooo exhausted still, get bad headaches frequently, and so moody. My bbs have throbbing pains going through and my are ultra sensitive. My appetite is still high and I am continuing to gain weight. My stomach constantly aches and so does my lower back. My gums bleed more easily, also. I also have begun to have more gas and I take more pee breaks now.

Girls have dating WAY EASIER than guys?

Sometimes i just wish i was born a girl, and no it doesnt have anything to do with feeling like being trapped in a wrong body or **** like that, i just think girls have it SOOOOOO much easier when it comes to dating, even the ugliest girl will have guys hit on her when she goes in the middle of the club and just stands still, whereas the gender roles we have make it so that you basically have to be a jerky guy to get anywhere with ladies or at least have a ton of confidence cause you have to initiate in 99% of cases. So basically shy guys are doomed unlike shy girls who still get at least SOME attention & hit on occasionally, ok yeah i guess girls can pull the "but most guys just want us for " -card at this point but its your own fault for choosing the most confident jerks (or well some girls do) who just want you for that.

Hairstyle advice needed!?

I had very short hair ("pixie cut") for many years. At the request of my husband, I've been growing my hair out for the past year and it's now to the tops of my shoulders in the back/sides and what used to be bangs are not past my chin. At this point, I'm not really sure what to do with it! My hair is a very dark brown (think espresso), the actual follicles are thin & silky but I have a LOT of hair, and it has a very slight wave to it but not anything close to "naturally curly." I would like for it to grow another 6 inches or so but I would love to have a style now after "getting by" for the last year. Any suggestions/pictures/links would be greatly appreciated!

I think it's funny how many people are down on Lost. I am glad it's back on with new episodes. I think that sometimes they focus on characters or things I wouldn't but as a fan of the show I would like to think there is a master plan. It's not like the show is going to be over this year (at least I hope not!), so I'm not in any real hurry to learn everything about everyone or have all secrets revealed in a week! I think letting the story and characters be revealed a little at a time is just fine! Are some of the things (mosters, etc) a little odd? Sure! Any VCRs that can perfectly play back hi fi recordings on another machine?

Have you tried adjusting the tracking on the vcr your using? That would be the first thing to check. It probably has auto tracking but that may not be doing the job so try adjusting it yourself. How exactly depends on the vcr so you may have to find the manual online (go to the manufacturers website and check through support. Usually no need to buy the manual). It could be that the tapes have just degraded over time and there's nothing you can do about that (unless you have a recording studio in your basement). I don't think getting the same model will help.
